What we can do with trees

When looking at tree surgery work we first survey the tree in the form of a short tree report which takes into account, hazards, infections, general tree health, and appearance. We of course take into account the health and what is best for the tree along with what our clients needs entail.

We aim to recycle 100% of all our waste and where possible convert this waste into useful products that can be of benefit to the local community.

All our tree surgeons are NPTC certified, and have vast experience in all types of tree work. You can be certain that all our tree surgery will be carried out to the highest professional standard.

The most usual procedures whch our treesurgeons perform are:

Crown reduction:
This process involves reducing the size of the trees? overall canopy. This is achieved by pruning the branches evenly throughout the crown thus giving a more pleasing look to the tree overall and also making sure that deadwoods are removed and safety is acheived

Crown thinning:
Crown Thinning involves the selective removal of inner branches evenly throughout the trees crown. This allows light to travel through the without altering the trees? natural shape.

Crown lifting:
Crown lifting is the removal of selected branches and limbs from the lower part of the trees crown, thus lifting the crown?s overall height.

Dead wooding:
As a tree grows it is natural for some branches to stop growing and die. These branches then naturally shed, but for safety reasons it is advisable to have your tree regularly inspected and cleared of any deadwood.

Branch and Limb removal:
Sometimes it is necessary to remove certain branches within a tree, without fully reducing, thinning or lifting the crown Usually this is used to ensure that overhanging branches etc are removed. This process generally involves removing as little live growth as possible to ensure the health and stability of the tree.

Felling:
Occasionally a tree will need to be removed completely felling a large tree in a restricted area will normally require the tree to be climbed and dismantled in sections (se our photograph above) Other times when space, safety allow, the tree may be felled in the usual way - by bringing the tree to ground using practiced methods to ensure a safe, controlled and calculated fell. Once the tree is elled then it is usual to remove the stump, which is performed using a stump grinder (specialised equipment)

Hedge trimming:
Hedge trimming ensures the hedge remains neat, tidy and an attractive feature of your garden. Hedge trimming may also include the reduction in hedge height (if requested)
